Hi, I’m Levi.
I’m a Principal software engineer focused on cloud platforms, Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, policy and governance, and distributed systems. My 15+ years of experience include AI/ML, high-performance computing, and embedded systems, with earlier work in classical machine learning, image processing, and AI before I moved into cloud platforms in 2014.
I joined Pulumi as employee #13 and the company’s first remote hire. Since then, I’ve helped shape multiple generations of the Pulumi platform, with deep contributions across the Kubernetes experience, compute platforms, policy, and cloud product architecture. I also helped define the initial vision and technical direction for what became Pulumi’s Discovery & Governance product.
One of my key strengths is taking ambiguous product ideas from 0→1: refining them through prototypes and technical design, aligning teams around a clear direction, and driving them into reliable, production-grade systems. I’ve repeatedly demonstrated this through Pulumi’s internal hackathons, winning multiple “Most Innovative” and “Fan Favorite” awards for product prototypes that helped shape future roadmap direction.
